vdb 130 (Cygnus) * June 2018 * ASA N12 astrograph (f/3.6, 1075mm) * ASA DDM85 mount * Moravian G3-16200 EC CCD * LRGB Baader filter set * L:490 minutes R:390 min G:310 min B: 390 min *Subframes acquired unguided (Sequence & Autoslew software)* vdB 130 (center of image) is a reflection nebula,associated to a young open cluster in the Cygnus constellation. It´s illuminated by the star HD 228789 (part of the star cluster)giving an optical reflection nebula.It´s distance is estimated recently at about 4900 light years, Close to it, is also DWB34,DWB40,DWB41 and DWB 44 (infrared sources).The area is dominated by hydrogen (red) and some patches of dust (brown).. Also, in the center-lower part of image, there is a little white fog-spot..which is the reflection nebula GM2-39.Origin is the star HBHA 3703-01 which illuminate the interstellar medium around it. | ![]() |
