The stars ‘in’ the nebula are cataloged as open cluster Dolidze 4.  The Sh2104 region is a good illustration of the `collect and collapse' model for star formation triggered by the expansion of an H II region.In the center of image , the nebulous object GM 1-27 on the basis of direct photographs and spectra obtained with the 6-m telescope shows that it is a cometary nebula with mixed (C + E) spectrum. The high negative radial velocities of the lines (/minus/150 to /minus/200 km/sec) indicate a directed outflow of matter from the central star (which is not directly observable).DWB 18 is an emission nebula located about in the center of the great dark rift that goes down much of Cygnus.Thanks to Mr. Sakib Rasool for suggesting this image.Credits : Astrophysics 28(3):356-359 · May 1988 (Tigran Yu.Magakian)Antonio F.
